President's Letter: October 2010

With the start of Q4, you need to start planning your end-of-year purchasing. DPS has a seasonal rush of orders every year during Q4, so you need to get your orders in as soon as possible. If you have 2010 budget leftover - or you're planning budgets for 2011 - you should read this article for seasonal ordering tips.

Of course, DPS Factory Training is always easy on your budget. It's the best way to improve your monitoring abilities quickly, and there's no tuition required for qualified professionals. We'll even pick you up from nearby hotels each morning, so you won't need to rent a car. The last Basic Training class of the year is Nov. 15-18. If you've been to training already, you're qualified to come to our Advanced Class from October 4-6. It's just weeks away, but we still have a few seats left. Sign up for Factory Training online

Lastly, as I watch our Engineering Team put the finishing touches on yet another new client-requested product, I want to remind you about your customization options at DPS. If you're frustrated by a problem that relates to monitoring and no vendor has a solution, call us and tell us about it. We are very engineering-orientated and have optimized our design process to make new products feasible for all. You won't have to order hundreds of units or pay massive development fees. In recent years, we've added T1 and fiber interfaces, added support for new protocols, changed form factors, adjusted capacities, added capabilities, and matched appearance for OEM products - all to give our clients a solution when no one else could.

So, what's frustrating you in your network? What can we help you solve?

Until next time,

Eric Storm, President of DPS Telecom

President's Letter: November 2010

At DPS, the end of the year is always an exciting time. We've received many orders for delivery by December 31st. We're still receiving orders before the November 24 deadline to guarantee end-of-year delivery. From our clients who are planning for next year's monitoring expansions, we're getting requests for budgetary quotes.

Speaking of 2011, some clients have already registered for next year's first few Factory Training classes. This is much earlier than we've seen historically. It's likely that travel budgets are beginning to unfreeze, and people are registering for classes that they couldn't attend during the last few years. To make sure you can attend Factory Training when you want to, I encourage you to register early. The 2011 training calendar is now on the DPS website.

From our family to yours, have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Until next time,

Eric Storm, President of DPS Telecom
