Reserve Your Seat TodayYour data center equipment needs to run 24/7. A single HVAC failure or power issue can destroy servers and cause downtime.
DPS Telecom provides remote monitoring systems that protect data centers from environmental and power threats. NetGuardian RTUs monitor temperature, humidity, water intrusion, and power status at your facility. When conditions exceed safe thresholds, you receive alerts via email, text, or SNMP.
Environmental problems destroy equipment before you know there's an issue.
Temperature problems happen when HVAC systems fail. Servers have specific temperature ranges. When cooling stops working, temperatures rise quickly. Equipment overheats and fails.
Power fluctuations damage sensitive electronics. Rectifier failures can output high voltage that destroys battery strings. Batteries expand and get stuck in their trays. The replacement cost is high, and the labor to remove damaged batteries costs even more.
Water intrusion from leaks or flooding causes immediate failures across entire racks.
Humidity issues lead to condensation damage or static discharge problems.
You can respond to these problems easily. The challenge is knowing when these problems happen.
Remote monitoring uses sensors and RTUs (Remote Telemetry Units) at your data center. An RTU collects data from sensors and your equipment. When readings exceed your thresholds, the RTU sends alerts.
NetGuardian RTUs install in your data center rack. They monitor:
The RTU processes this data locally. When a threshold is exceeded, it sends alerts via:
For networks with multiple data centers, T/Mon master alarm software aggregates all site data into one interface.
DPS monitoring systems work with your existing equipment regardless of manufacturer or age.
| Category | Equipment Types |
|---|---|
| Power Systems | Rectifiers, Battery strings, UPS units, Generators (Kohler, Cummins, Generac), AC/DC converters, PDUs |
| Environmental | HVAC systems, Air handlers, Temperature sensors, Humidity sensors, Airflow sensors |
| Security | Door contacts, Motion detectors, Access control systems, Camera systems |
| Threat Detection | Water sensors, Smoke detectors, Gas detectors, Vibration sensors |
| IT Equipment | Servers via SNMP, Network switches, Storage arrays, Any SNMP-capable device |
NetGuardian RTUs support 30+ protocols including SNMP (V1, V2, V3), Modbus, DNP3, and TL1. If you need a protocol we don't currently support, we'll develop it for your project.
Our environmental sensors use industry-standard 0-5VDC or 4-20mA interfaces for plug-and-play installation.
Humidity affects equipment reliability. When humidity levels are too high, condensation forms on circuit boards and causes shorts. When humidity is too low, static electricity builds up and damages components.
DPS humidity sensors provide:
These sensors connect directly to NetGuardian RTUs. You configure high and low alarm thresholds, and the RTU alerts you before condensation or static problems occur.
| Solution | Best For | Key Features |
|---|---|---|
| Individual RTU Web Interface | 1-10 sites | Access each RTU directly via web browser, Set up email/text alerts per site |
| T/Mon Master Station | 10+ sites | Single interface for all locations, Geographic map display, Consolidated alerting, Report generation |
| Third-Party SNMP Manager | Enterprise networks | Integration with SolarWinds, IBM OpenView, or other platforms, NetGuardians report via SNMP |
DPS Telecom has deployed monitoring systems for single-site facilities and networks with 1,000+ locations. The monitoring architecture scales to your needs.
Complete Solution Provider
We manufacture both RTUs and alarm masters - and write the software for those hardware devices. Other vendors specialize in either hardware or software. Single-vendor accountability means no finger-pointing when issues arise.
Custom Engineering at No Extra Cost
Approximately 80% of your monitoring needs fit our standard modules. For the remaining 20%, our engineers modify equipment to your exact specifications. We don't charge NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) fees when you meet minimum order quantities.
Equipment Built to Last
Our RTUs operate reliably for 20+ years. Many clients from the 1980s still use DPS equipment. This longevity reduces total cost of ownership.
Direct Access to Engineers
When you call technical support, you speak with the engineers who designed your equipment. No call center scripts. No escalation delays.
Made in USA
All equipment is designed, manufactured, and tested at our Fresno, California facilities. We control the entire supply chain from components to final testing.
Remote monitoring systems are configured for your specific requirements. Investment ranges:
NetGuardian RTUs: About $700 to $5,000 depending on capacity and features
T/Mon Master Alarm Systems: Starting at about $8,000
Professional Services: System design consultation - free of charge, no purchase necessary
We offer:
Typical timeline for a single data center:
Week 1: Our application engineers review your requirements. We provide a system design and quote.
Week 2-4: Equipment is manufactured to your specifications.
Week 5: Equipment ships. Most installations complete in 1-2 days.
For urgent situations, we can deliver custom solutions in under 90 days.
The loaner program lets you test equipment in your environment before purchase. We ship an RTU to you for 30 days of hands-on evaluation.
24/7 Technical Support
Engineers are available for emergency issues. Phone and screen-sharing support included with every purchase.
Factory Training
Multi-day programs at our Fresno headquarters provide hands-on training with your equipment.
Lifetime Product Support
We don't abandon products or force upgrades. Equipment from 20+ years ago still receives support.
Installation Assistance
Should you need additional assistance, we provide on-site training at your facility. For T/Mon systems, we provide on-site installation and 2-3 days of training (approximately $7,000-$8,000 - may vary based on the required travel and lodging expenses that are included in the quoted price). For RTUs, we demonstrate installation for your first units via phone and screen-sharing.
Maintenance Agreements
Optional agreements extend warranties indefinitely and include all software updates.
With 37 years in the monitoring industry, DPS Telecom has deployed more than 172,800 devices worldwide. We serve 1,500+ companies across telecommunications, utilities, transportation, government, and enterprise sectors.
Our clients stay with us for an average of 10-15 years because:
A typical client starts with monitoring for a single data center. Within 12-18 months, they've expanded monitoring across their entire network. Preventing one major incident justifies the entire investment.
