The NetGuardian 864A DX G5 Expansion Units are low-cost, self-contained devices that provide compatible NetGuardian-series remotes with additional alarms and controls. With the DX expansions, your NetGuardian RTU can scale to the needs of your remote site, so you don't have to deploy new RTUs as your needs grow. Adding up to 3 864A DX expansion units to your compatible NetGuardian RTU will increase your capacity by 192 discrete points, 24 analog inputs, and 24 control relays.
Each unit is equipped with dual RS232 ports for easy installation and daisy-chaining. Here are the benefits you will enjoy by deploying the 864 DX:
When compared to the 864A DX, the 832A DX increases your discrete alarms in increments of 32 instead of 64. The 832A/864A DX features 8 analog inputs and 8 control outputs (relay contacts).
The 864A DX is usually priced higher than the 832A DX, due to its larger discrete alarm capacity, unless you require additional features. For an additional cost, DPS can add these custom features you need to meet or exceed your needs.
The NetGuardian 864A DX G5 is compatible with the NetGuardian 832A G5. Likewise, the 832A DX G5 is compatible with the 864A G5. So if you expand your base 864A or 832A unit with an 832A DX expansion unit, you can increase your capacity with a minimum of 32 discrete alarms and 8 analog alarms. You can also maximize your discrete alarms by an additional 192 by deploying up to three 864A DXs.
