T/AlphaW 3.0 Released: Enhanced Security and Improved XP Compatibility

T/AlphaW, the Windows-based provisioning tool for the AlphaMax RTU, has recently been updated with powerful security enhancements. This software update helps you to control access to your AlphaMax configurations, ensuring that your RTUs will be in top-notch condition when they need to report an alarm.

Choose Custom Access Rights for Each User

T/AlphaW has always been a convenient way to provision your AlphaMax units remotely, but it now allows you to establish different access rights for different users on a site-by-site basis. You can choose to give read-only or full write access to individual users. If you're training a new operator, you might choose to grant read access only. This greatly cuts down on the potential for accidents, in addition to more devious activities.

Continuing Support for Traditional Security

To provide maximum freedom for current AlphaMax users, the security updates in T/AlphaW v3.0 are optional. Current users who prefer their existing login method may update their software without creating new user permissions. Existing AlphaMax configuration files will operate as they always have, with the option to upgrade to new security remaining available at any time.

Enhanced XP Compatibility

T/AlphaW v3.0 also features enhanced compatibility with Windows XP to ensure that you can provision your AlphaMax RTUs whenever and wherever you need to.
