DPS Sales Manager
In 2004, Joel Soto began his career at DPS as a Quote Technician. Now, only a few years later, he manages the DPS Sales force. Want to learn how he did it? Read on to find out...
Joel was hired as a sales support staff member after sending DPS his resume in response to an ad on a job board. Joel had some previous sales support experience and majored in business. However, he was completely new to the monitoring industry.
In his role as a sales support staff member, Joel was able to learn about DPS Telecom's product line and services. He assisted the senior sales staff in developing quotes and proposals, and was able to better understand the needs of DPS clients by interacting with them. Joel says, "I always made it a point to review the proposals I was assigned. I enjoyed the challenge of coming into work and learning something new everyday."
