Whether you're new to our equipment or you've used it for years, DPS factory training is the best way to get more from your monitoring.
Reserve Your Seat TodayRemote monitoring protects your oil and gas infrastructure from costly failures and safety incidents. With assets spread across vast territories and unmanned sites operating 24/7, you need reliable monitoring that alerts you before small issues become major problems.
DPS Telecom has protected critical infrastructure for over 37 years. We've deployed 172,000+ monitoring devices for power utilities, telecommunications networks, and oil and gas operations worldwide.
| Category | Equipment |
|---|---|
| Power Systems | Generators (Kohler, Cummins, Generac), batteries, rectifiers, UPS systems |
| Environmental | Temperature, humidity, water intrusion, HVAC performance |
| Security | Door contacts, motion sensors, cameras, access control |
| Site Equipment | Compressors, pumps, pressure systems, flow meters |
Your monitoring system needs to track everything that keeps revenue-generating equipment operational and within safe parameters.
NetGuardian RTUs install at each remote site and connect to your equipment through standard interfaces. These include 0-5VDC, 4-20mA, discrete contacts, Modbus, and DNP3.
When conditions exceed your defined thresholds, you receive immediate alerts. Alert methods include email, SMS, SNMP trap, or our T/Mon central monitoring software. You can view real-time status and historical trends through a web interface from any location.
DPS monitoring systems support Modbus, DNP3, and SNMP for oil and gas equipment integration.
Modbus: Connects to generators, compressors, and intelligent site equipment. We support both Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP.
DNP3: Full DNP3 support ensures integration with existing SCADA infrastructure. This protocol is widely used by utilities and critical infrastructure operators.
SNMP: We support SNMP v1, v2, and v3 (with encryption) for network equipment and third-party monitoring platforms.
T/Mon supports 30+ protocols because customers needed them at various times. If you need a protocol we don't currently support, tell us what you're trying to accomplish. We're willing to develop new protocol support when it serves your requirements.
Each oil and gas operation has unique requirements. Well sites differ from compressor stations. Pipeline monitoring has different needs than processing facilities.
Approximately 80% of your needs can be met with our standard modules. The remaining 20% receives custom engineering at no additional charge when you meet our minimum order quantities. We configure each RTU specifically for your application.
Oil and gas sites often lack reliable connectivity. NetGuardian RTUs support Ethernet, Serial (RS-232, RS-485), Cellular (GSM, CDMA, LTE), Fiber optic, Dial-up, and Satellite for extremely remote locations.
Many customers use cellular as primary communication with dial-up as automatic failover. This dual-path approach ensures you maintain monitoring even if one connection fails.
DPS RTUs operate from -40°F to +185°F with wide voltage tolerance and surge protection. Our rugged design handles outdoor installations in harsh environments.
"We've always been very pleased with DPS Telecom's RTUs. They've lasted for 20 years." - Sr. Communications Engineer, State DOT
Equipment failures are rare. Many original units from the 1980s remain in active service today. Typical service life exceeds 20 years.
DPS provides both RTUs and central monitoring software. Unlike vendors who specialize in either hardware or software, we deliver complete solutions from a single manufacturer. This eliminates compatibility issues and vendor finger-pointing.
Temperature extremes damage electronics and reduce equipment lifespan. Humidity causes condensation. Water intrusion destroys valuable assets. Our sensors provide early warning before environmental conditions damage your equipment.
DPS offers precision temperature sensors, relative humidity tracking, water detection for leaks, smoke detection for fire prevention, and vibration sensors for equipment health monitoring. All sensors use industry-standard interfaces (0-5VDC or 4-20mA) for plug-and-play installation with NetGuardian RTUs.
DPS systems monitor AC and DC voltage levels, battery charge status and health, rectifier operation, generator run status and faults, and fuel levels (when equipped with sensors).
You can remotely power-cycle equipment through our PDUs. This often resolves issues without dispatching technicians, reducing downtime and truck roll costs.
Every DPS product is designed, manufactured, and tested at our facilities in Fresno, California. This enables us to respond rapidly to custom requirements (under 90 days for custom projects), maintain consistent quality through direct oversight, and provide immediate access to our engineering teams.
You work directly with the engineers who designed your equipment, not a call center reading scripts.
DPS offers 24/7 emergency technical support. When you call, you speak with experienced support engineers who know our products thoroughly, not a call center. Response times matter when production is at stake.
NetGuardian RTUs integrate seamlessly with SolarWinds, IBM OpenView, Castle Rock SNMPc, and any standard SNMP manager. Our open architecture ensures your monitoring solution enhances rather than replaces your existing infrastructure.
"The training, company culture, and the people - everything was excellent." - Ravipati Seetaramaiah, Kuwait National Petroleum Company
Oil and gas operators worldwide trust DPS equipment to protect their infrastructure. Our consultative approach ensures you get a monitoring system that fits your specific operational requirements.
Step 1: Our application engineers assess your monitoring requirements and current infrastructure.
Step 2: We develop a customized proposal detailing recommended equipment and configuration.
Step 3: We assist with installation, configuration, and staff training.
Step 4: You receive ongoing support and access to upgrades as your network evolves.
We offer a 30-day trial program (you pay shipping only) so you can evaluate our equipment in your actual environment before committing.
We've been protecting critical infrastructure since 1986. Over 1,500 companies depend on our monitoring systems.
Unlike vendors offering one-size-fits-all solutions, we specialize in custom-fit monitoring. You get equipment configured specifically for your requirements, not generic products.
Our equipment routinely operates for 20+ years, providing exceptional return on investment. We support products for their entire useful life.
You work with a partner invested in your long-term success, not a vendor focused on the next sale.
