DPS equipment provides native support for both protocols. Our T/Mon alarm master and NetGuardian RTUs integrate directly with your existing infrastructure, translating proprietary protocols to SNMP when needed for compatibility with enterprise management platforms.
We currently support over 30 protocols. If you need a protocol we don't currently support, tell us what you're trying to accomplish. Our engineering team has developed new protocol support specifically for client requirements.

Power utilities have different monitoring needs depending on their size. A regional cooperative managing 40 substations has different requirements than a major utility operating over 1,000 facilities across multiple states.

Regional Utilities: Median deployments run 40-50 sites with our NetGuardian RTUs reporting to a central T/Mon master station. This provides consolidated visibility without the complexity of enterprise-scale systems.
Large Utilities: Enterprise clients like Southern Company and Dominion Energy operate DPS equipment across 1,000+ locations. For networks of this scale, our RTUs can report to existing enterprise management platforms like SolarWinds, Castle Rock, or IBM OpenView via SNMP.
Both approaches use the same reliable hardware and support infrastructure, just configured for your operational requirements.
Custom Engineering: Approximately 80% of monitoring requirements can be met with standard configurations. The remaining 20% receives custom engineering to create a perfect fit. Unlike many vendors, we don't charge Non-Recurring Engineering fees for custom modifications when you meet our minimum order quantities.
