How Device Modules Makes Adding A Device Quick and Easy


A master station is a great way to streamline all your devices and alarms onto one screen. But what about configuring all those devices and alarms? The larger your network, the more daunting that task becomes.

Device modules on the T/Mon Master Station from DPS Telecom make it easier to quickly add all your devices. Device modules are templates created for a wide variety of DPS and non-DPS devices. The device modules help you by automatically adding in some of the standard information needed to add your device. Simply start by selecting the device you want to configure. You won't have any guesswork, because fields are auto-filled using a human-readable "Device Blueprint".

T/Mon Device Modules Are Sorted by Manufacturer

When you're setting up a new device in your alarm master station, you have a lot up in the air. T/Mon makes the process easier by providing a list of known devices from common manufacturers.

By choosing a device from this list, you're choosing a template that allows T/Mon to fill in a lot of the blanks for you. As an example, pre-defined system alarms from the device manufacturer will be automatically databased without requiring anything from you. Other parameters like the protocol will also be set automatically.

You Can Search Your Existing Devices by Name & Type

As your network grows, you could be using T/Mon to manage dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of devices. When you need to review or edit one of them, you need a fast way to find that device.

T/Mon has a "quick search" function in the device list that allows you to search by name. You can also drill down through the tree to search devices by manufacturer and model.
