Up to three NetGuardian DX G5 Expansion Units can be daisy-chained from a single, base NetGuardian G5.
The NetGuardian DX G5 Expansion Units are low-cost, self-contained devices that provide the NetGuardian 832A or 864A G5 with additional ground-activated discrete alarms, analogs alarms, and control relays. With the capability of adding up to 3 NetGuardian DX Expansion Units, you will gain up 128 discretes on a NetGuardian 832A G5 or up to 256 alarm points per 864A G5.
To make expansion a simpler and less expensive task, each unit is equipped with dual RS232 ports so that Expansions can be daisy chained to one another. In this way, currently deployed NetGuardian 832As can be easily expanded.
