The NetGuardian DX G5 Expansion Units are low-cost, self-contained devices that provide compatible NetGuardian series remotes with additional ground-activated discrete alarms, analogs alarms, and control relays. With the NetGuardian DX expansions, your NetGuardian RTU can scale to the needs of your site, so you don't have to deploy new RTUs as your needs grow. Adding up to 3 NetGuardian 832A DX expansion units to your compatible NetGuardian RTU will increase your capacity by 96 discrete points, 24 analog inputs, and 24 control relays.
Each unit is equipped with dual RS232 ports for easy installation and daisy-chaining.

In this application, the NetGuardian DX Expansion can act as a stand-alone RTU. To do this, the DX Expansion connects directly to T/Mon NOC and adds an additional 48 discrete points at any given site. This is achieved by connecting the NetGuardian DX to T/Mon using an RS-232 Serial connection at 2400 baud on any of T/Mon's unused ports. Use address ports 1, 2, or 3 and you've just added 48 discrete points over DCPx protocol.
There is no other network on the planet that is exactly like yours. For that reason, you need to build a monitoring system that's the right fit for you.
"Buying more than you need" and "buying less than you need" are real risks. You also have to think about training, tech support, and upgrade availability.
Send me a quick online message about what you're trying to accomplish. I'll work with you to build a custom PDF application diagram that's a perfect fit for your network.
Your network isn't off-the-shelf.
Your monitoring system shouldn't be, either.
We'll walk you through this with a customized monitoring diagram.
