The KDA 832-T8 is a combination alarm collection and protocol mediation device. with 32 discrete alarms and 8 controls. The KDA 832-T8 also collects data from up to 8 TBOS devices connected to its 8 TBOS ports. The collected alarm data is then forwarded in DCP(f/x) or TRIP to the T/MonXM WorkStation or the IAM-5.

This unit will convert a single TBOS port, possibly containing up to eight devices, into a SONET compatible TL1 message.
