President's Letter: March 2008

MIBS, SNMP, Traps, Compile, Inform, GET, SET, and Manager are all parts of a successful SNMP implementation. Depending on your position, these items might be things that go on behind the scenes, or you might be in the front lines of implementation.

It may seem like we've been introducing a lot of new product lately. Well, you're right... we are! Our engineers have been very busy implementing new product technology and remotes. This month, they've built a 64-point discrete expansion companion unit for the NetGuardian 864, which can ultimately grow site capacity (in 64-point increments) up to 256 points. 2^8 is one of those numbers I really like.
