New DPS Products and Features Provide You With Even More Value

We've dedicated part of this May issue of The Protocol to T1 monitoring. As a follow-up to our NG216T product announcement, we wanted to provide a deeper insight into T1 monitoring with our new white paper. We've also included a case study examining how Consolidated Communications is monitoring using T1 technology.

One of the many decisions we have to make at DPS with respect to product development is deciding which features go into a DPS release. At a certain point, we do have to draw the release cutoff line. In T/Mon, this is particularly challenging because we always want to add that next and greatest feature. But if we never drew a hard line on release, we would never get an update out. Based on feedback from our recent factory training sessions, we've added some very handy shortcuts and features to the ASCII processor. Since these were added after our 5.0A cutoff date, they were not part of the 5.0A release. However, since we think these changes will be very helpful to our many ASCII users, we are making these changes immediately available by special request for our T/Mon Gold Plan owners.

In this issue, you'll also learn about the NetGuardian Test Box, which is a product that started out as an in-house diagnostic tool for the NetGuardian 832A & NetGuardian DX. Now, it's available to you as part of our product line.

Best Regards,

Eric Storm, President of DPS Telecom
