The proximity card reader will be mounted on the exterior side of the door and an ECU door controller module will be mounted on the inside of the door. The proximity card reader will provide performance and reliability with a low-profile appearance. The enclosure is designed for weather and hazard proofing. It is sealed in a rugged, weatherized enclosure to withstand harsh environments. Once an activated and databased card has been swiped, visible LED's will light and it will relay that information to the ECU unit at which point it will activate its relay (door strike). This unit will mount directly on metal with minimal impact on the read range performance.
With proxy reader support, you can control business access of all personnel, even temporary staff, by assigning them one of the supported 1,600 user profiles. You can define unique access privileges for each user by site, door, time of day, and date. And because the Building Access System logs all entries, you'll have a comprehensive record of all access attempts. The ECU acts as the main interface between the Proxy Card Reader and the NetGuardian. The NetGuardian maintains a list of personnel who are authorized to access the facility. It records all valid entries, attempts, and the time of each action in non-volatile RAM. It can also receive a control from T/Mon NOC to remotely open a door.
