How This Application Works:

Equipment Used:
In this application, the NetGuardian DX Expansion can act as a stand-alone RTU. To do this, the DX Expansion connects directly to T/Mon NOC and adds an additional 48 discrete points at any given site. This is achieved by connecting the NetGuardian DX to T/Mon using an RS-232 Serial connection at 2400 baud on any of T/Mon's unused ports. Use address ports 1, 2, or 3 and you've just added 48 discrete points over DCPx protocol.
