We now present a monitoring solution that will provide you with a significant improvement to your network alarm management system. As you will see in this application, it addresses your vital concerns, including providing a single alarm box solution for alarm monitoring and reporting and increasing your monitoring reliability.

For your solution, we have included the NetGuardian G4. It is a version of the NetGuardian 832A. The NetGuardian G4 is a LAN-based, SNMP/DCPx remote telemetry unit that has all the tools you need to monitor your sites.

These tools include the ability notify you of alarms via pages, e-mail, SMS messages (please see our white paper on TAP protocol to SMS) and a web browser interface for alarm viewing. Please note the web browser and e-mail features will only be available when LAN is present.

As you have requested I've included the CDMA modem or alarm paging. The NetGuardian G4 will interface via the RS232 connection to access the CDMA wireless modem to notify you on your pager (or cell phone depending on your cell provider). Also, you will need to check with your cell provider to see if CDMA access is available at your generator site's area.

For alarm reporting to an SNMP Manager (future use), the NetGuardian G4 also supports SNMP v2c Informs, v2C Traps and v1 Traps permits robust message delivery. When coupled with the controls features, it offers a convenient and time efficient way of remotely switching equipment in the field via the NetGuardian’s internal relays.
