To ensure that our European clients can achieve the best possible monitoring, DPS has received CE certification for several of its most popular products. As part of our commitment to our clients and OEMs worldwide, DPS will continue developing hardware built from approved materials.
The following products are CE certified (and also RoHS 5/6 compliant):
- NetGuardian 216 G2
- NetGuardian 832A G4
- NetGuardian 480 G2
- NetGuardian DX G4 (*CE in June '07)

About CE Certification
The CE mark is a mandatory European marking indicating conformity with health, safety, emissions, and other standards. If a product does not have the CE mark, it cannot be distributed in most European markets. Before any DPS product is affixed with the CE mark, it must pass a series of strenuous tests by a third-party lab. CE certification is applicable to medical devices, industrial machinery, electronic equipment, and more.
About RoHS 5/6 Compliance
RoHS, the "Restriction of Hazardous Substances," bans electronic equipment in Europe that contain more than the specified levels of six hazardous substances, most notably lead. The RoHS directive was put into effect on July 1, 2006. Companies must comply with this legislation in order to market their products in Europe. An exemption for lead in solders, known as RoHS 5/6, has been granted for companies that produce servers, network infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling, and for network management systems utilized for telecommunication purposes.
