T/Mon Master Monitors ASCII, SNMP, and RTUs

T/Mon NOC master collecting alarms from NetGuardian RTUs, SNMP devices, and ASCII devices
The T/Mon NOC master station collects alarms from RTUs, SNMP devices, ASCII devices, and many other types of equipment.

Equipment Used:

  • T/Mon master station
  • NetGuardian 832A RTUs
  • NetGuardian DX expansions
  • SNMP Equipment
  • ASCII Equipment

This solution consists of two major components. The first is the NetGuardian 832As and NetGuardian DX, which will be deployed at the remote sites. The NetGuardian 832A is a RoHS alarm remote provides 32 discrete alarm inputs, 8 analog inputs, 8 control relays, 8 Serial ports (typically used for terminal servers), 1 RS485 expansion serial port, an audible alert speaker, and an informative local LCD display, all in a 1 rack unit of space.

The NetGuardian DX expansion chassis is the perfect companion product to the NetGuardian 832A G5. It's specifically designed to expand the discrete alarm capacity only and as such, provides substantial savings over the expense of adding another NetGuardian 832A G5 anytime you need the extra capacity. Each DX Expansion chassis increases the alarm capacity by 48 points for a total of 80 discrete contacts as well as 8 extra control relays. Up to 3 DX Expansion chassis can be daisy-chained for a total of 176 discrete alarms.

The 110VDC T/Mon NOC is the second major component, which will be at the main center, and act as the central aggregation point. It will include both the SNMP and ASCII software modules. Also, it is already pre-configured to work with the NetGuardian RTU product family line without additional software.

The T/Mon NOC is a rack-mounted, -48V dual feed, Pentium computer that will be responsible for: Collecting, filtering, categorizing & presenting alarms, maintaining history, alphanumeric paging, and e-mail notification. The T/Mon NOC will use the slide rack which can be placed into your 19" or 23" racks. This solution provides the highest level of local alarm visibility. Alarm viewing will take several forms including our embedded web browser support facility.

This interface is incredibly easy to use and will provide network visibility to your staff provided they are given the access rights by your system administrator. You can see an on line demonstration of this by logging on to our website: http://www.dpstele.com/ and previewing the web browser demonstration. Other remote access will be provided using our T/Windows software. This software can be loaded on multiple PCs and is ideal for technicians and other members of your staff to view alarms from remote locations over LAN, direct connect or dial up.
