T/Mon LNX Remote Alarm Monitoring System

T/Mon LNX

The T/Mon LNX Remote Alarm Monitoring System is a multiprotocol, multifunction network alarm manager designed as a single-platform solution for all alarm monitoring applications. T/Mon collects alarm data from lots of different equipment throughout many manufacturers and protocols. The flagship LNX platform includes a Web 3.0 browser interface (video) and a mobile web interface for smartphones

T/Mon SLIM Alarm Master

T/Mon SLIM

T/Mon SLIM is a complete network alarm monitoring system in a slim package. It's the full power of the T/Mon NOC Remote Alarm Monitoring System, scaled to the needs of small, local and regional networks.

T/Mon MINI Alarm Master

T/Mon MINI

T/Mon MINI provides centralized monitoring for up to 16 DPS alarm remotes (scalable to 64 remotes). This makes it a great test for a larger T/Mon deployment, and also a solid long-term option for monitoring smaller networks.

T/Mon BAS Access Control Master

T/Mon BAS

T/Mon BAS (Building Access System) gives you centralized, electronic control over your doors. T/Mon BAS is a variant of the T/Mon Remote Alarm Monitoring System. While the T/Mon models shown above manage both door access and alarms from network equipment, T/Mon BAS is focused purely on building access control.

Central Office Application

T/Mon SLIM master collecting Central Office and Remote Site alarms
Above, the T/Mon SLIM master station aggregates alarms from NetGuardian 832A G5 RTUs at the central office with other alarms from NetDog 82IP RTUs at various remote sites.

Equipment Used:

  • T/Mon SLIM master
  • NetGuardian 832A RTUs
  • NetDog 82IP RTUs

How This Application Works:

by Mac Smith

This solution will provide visibility of your multiple central offices and remote sites. It includes 3 key technologies.

The first is the NetGuardian 832A G5 for your Central Office Sites, the NetDog 82IP for your Remote Sites, and the T/Mon SLIM as the central alarm master to aggregate, present, and perform all the necessary notifications.

Collectively this solution will give you visibility to the battery voltages at your sites, and whether or not your generators are running. It will also monitor temperature information at your various rooms and locations. The T/Mon SLIM includes the ability to accept alarms from SNMP devices.

Although the T/Mon SLIM will meet your requirements now, with its ability to monitor up to 10,000 alarm points, there may be a need for more capacity in the future. You may use our upgrade discount program to upgrade to a full-size T/Mon master station later.

Software Modules

Modules for IAM and T/MonXM

The main purpose of software modules is to determine the functions and protocols of the communications ports in the IAM and T/MonXM Workstation. Software modules also control the number of category windows that are available in the main monitor screen. These software modules are offered in addition to the standard features included with element managers.

TL1 Responder
The TL1 responder software module gives either the T/MonXM Workstation or IAM the ability to report alarms via TL1 (Transaction Language 1).

SNMP Agent
Forwards alarm data to SNMP Manager via Ethernet. Mediates alarms from any T/Mon protocol interface module.

Device Modules
Device Modules allow monitoring equipment from a variety of vendors. See a list of currently supported device modules here.

SNMP Trap Processor
This module gives the T/Mon & IAM the ability to receive & process traps from SNMP devices. This allow your T/Mon to monitor your network to even a greater degree by vastly increasing the number of intelligent devices that it can protect.

T/MonXM Two-Way Paging
The T/MonXM alarm monitoring software now supports two-way paging, allowing technicians to acknowledge alarms from their pagers.

T/MonXM & IAM ASCII Interrogator
Supports direct connect ASCII monitoring. Checks all data or predefined alarm conditions and generates standard T/Mon alarms. Periodic query commands can be issued and their responses processed.
